Carl “Mule” Overton, 59, of Sesser, IL passed away at 3:04 a.m. on June 17, 2016 at SSM Health Good Samaritan, in Mt. Vernon, IL.
He was born April 19, 1957 in Benton, IL, the son of Thomas Howard Overton and Betty Jane (Cameron) Overton.
Carl is survived a special friend, Linda Gower, of Sesser; brothers and sisters Ernest Overton, of Mt Vernon, Thomas Overton, of Sesser, Howard Overton, of Coello, Curtis Overton, of Coello, James Overton, of Pfafftown, North Carolina, Douglas Overton, of Sesser, Elizabeth Bassett, of Sesser, Aileen Grieser, of Prescott, AZ, Lydia Brust, of Bowling Green, KY, Jean Keith, of Zeigler, IL and Mary Conley of Bowling Green, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Alva Overton and Michael Dean Overton.
His wishes were to be cremated, there will be a memorial service at a later date.
