The Cardinals’ 25-man roster continues to get injections of young blood, as 23-year-old Harrison Bader was promoted to MLB duty Tuesday.

The club purchased Bader’s contract in response to another injury to Dexter Fowler, announcing the veteran center fielder was moved to the 10-day disabled list with a left wrist strain.

Fowler left the game in a double switch Monday night.

Bader, a fast-rising 2015 draft pick (3rd round), will become the sixth player to make his Major League debut for the Cardinals this season.
