Warren Morris Young, 95, of Christopher, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 3:35 AM at the Veteran’s Community Living Center in Marion.
He was born on August 10, 1921 in Coello, IL to Everett and Laura (Phillips) Young. He married Doris (Phillips) Young and she preceded him in death. He then married Dorothy (Burden) Young and she also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children Diane and Paul Lampley of Benton, Roger and Kathy Young of Valier, David and Cathy Young of Mulkeytown, Nancy and Ray Haertling of O’Fallon, MO, Melody and Allan McCarty of Thompsonville, Mark Young of Christopher, Kebin and Tammy Young of Valier, Sandy and Mike Smith of Sesser and Leslie and Brent Page of Mulkeytown. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, two brothers Otho and Calvin and two sisters Wanita and Ilene.
He was a WWII veteran serving in the Army Air Force

Funeral service will be on Friday July 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher with Brother Harold Whitlock officiating. Visitation will be on Friday July 28, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Mulkeytown.
