Florian Phillip Przybyl – Shelbyville, IL

Florian Phillip Przybyl of Shelbyville, passed away on April 4, 2020.

He was the son of John and Josephine Przybyl of Ripon, WI. He was 89.

Florian is survived by his daughters Diane (William) Kyle of Litchfield and Elaine Przybyl of Shelbyville, granddaughter Heather (Rick) Knop of Litchfield, two brothers and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years Mary Ann, his parents, one sister and two brothers.

Florian was a proud retired Navy Veteran. Senior Chief Przybyl served during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He served on 9 ships and was a plank owner on 3 of them. He was one of the first 28 men assigned to the USS Enterprise CVAN65 before it was commissioned. He was also an instructor in the Navy’s Nuclear Program during its start up in the 1960’s. He will be laid to rest next to Mary Ann at Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser, IL. In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Honor Guard Program or a veteran organization of your choice in his name would be appreciated. Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser is handling arrangements.
