Wanda J. Kandal – Benton, IL

Wanda J. Kandal, 48, of Benton, passed away at 1:47 p.m., on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, IL.

She was born on November 17, 1972, to Fredrick and Kristina (Schultz) Sanders in Billings, OK. Wanda was previously employed at Heritage Woods in Benton as a cook. She married Eugene Kandal, and he survives.

Wanda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, watching television, and coloring adult coloring books.

Wanda is survived by her husband Eugene Kandal; daughter, Margaret (Steven) K. Wyllie; son, Casey S. Kandal; four grandchildren, Christopher Wyllie, Kynzleigh Kandal, Eleanor Kandal and Ellie Wyllie; a brother, Robert Sanders.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Fredrick L. Sanders, Jr. and Dwayne A. Sanders.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Pate Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Benton, IL.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 28, 2021, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Pate Funeral Home, Benton, IL.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021, 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Pate Funeral Home in care of funeral expenses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
