BENTON, IL – A search and recovery effort is on it’s way for a missing person and possible drowning in Rend Lake last evening.
The incident occurred in the North Marcum beach area. When additional information comes available from authorities, I will pass it along.
UPDATE: 1:00 p.m. 7/29/17 Franklin Emergency Management Agency just announced the North Marcum Recreation area of the lake is closed. Please use alternate facilities until further notice.
