Lane reductions at the 89 mile marker, both directions in Jefferson County

The Illinois Department of Transportation would like to alert motorist traveling I-57 in Jefferson County of upcoming lane reductions.

Beginning Tuesday, September 5, 2017, I-57 northbound and southbound in Jefferson County at milepost 89.2, the bridge over Dodds Creek, will be reduced to one lane in both directions. This lane reduction is expected to last until November, weather permitting.

There will be a lane with restriction of 14’9” throughout the construction zone.

Motorist should reduce speed, be alert to equipment and workers and use extreme caution when traveling through this area.
