Herrin senior running back Jase Gosha scored four touchdowns and rushed for over 100 yards in leading the Tigers to a 52-22 beatdown of River to River Conference foe, Benton, Friday night.
Gosha scored on runs of 5, 8, 25 and 9 yards — the first three coming in the first half — as Herrin rushed out to a 31-0 halftime lead.
Herrin improves to 3-1 while the Rangers fell to 2-2. Benton will travel to West Frankfort at noon next Saturday for Franklin County bragging rights. The Redbirds upset Harrisburg 37-21 on Friday.
The Tigers play host to Murphysboro Friday
