With another election year right around the corner, many incumbents have already announced their bids for re-election. It comes, as many other long-time office-holders in Springfield, have decided to call it “quits.”

Every Illinois House Representative serves two-year terms. With the Senate it gets a little tricky: senators fall into three groups, with each group serving a 2-year term at a different time between censuses. For the rest of the decade, they serve 4-year terms.

Republicans Dale Fowler, Dave Severin and Terry Bryant go will back to the campaign trail again.
