Martha Jane Cummings, 85, of West City IL, passed away Thursday morning, September 14, 2017 at her home.
She was born in Rend City, IL on February 1, 1932, the daughter of Lawrence and Martha (Zachariah) Burzynski.
Mrs. Cummings is survived by her daughter Debbie Pritchard and husband Mike of Benton, son Greg Cox of Knoxville, TN son in law Jerry DeBusk of Ocean Isle, NC, four grandchildren; Carli Whaley and husband Jay of Knoxville, TN, Laura Poupore and husband Kevin of Tarlboro, NC, Cristy Mandrell of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mallory Pritchard of Caruthersville, MO, five great-grandchildren; Zoe, Ella, Norah Beth, Gage and Matilda, two brothers; Marion Burzynski and wife Ann of Marion, and Butch Burzynski and wife Janet of Benton, also an abundance of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob Cummings, a Daughter: Cathi DeBusk, four sisters; Mary Freeman, Helen Thompson, Stella Stewart & Ruth Grammer, and six brothers; Raymond, Stanley, Walter, John, Lawrence and an infant Brother: Frank.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 30th at the First Christian Church 302 South Main Street in Benton. The family will greet friends after 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at the Church.
In Lieu of flowers, Memorials in Mrs. Cummings memory may be made to the Celtic Health Group.
