Lyla Bruce, 72, of Valier, passed away on Monday August 12, 2024 at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt Vernon, IL.
She was born on May 27, 1952 in Christopher, IL to Robert and Romona (Cutler) Cooper.
She is survived by her children Tom Bruce of Fairview Heights, IL and Valerie Bruce of Fairview Heights, IL; three grandchildren Zane Bruce, Kira Bruce and Elih Bruce and one sister Lynn Presslar of Benton.
Funeral services will be on Thursday August 15, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher, IL with Brother Paul Keller officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.
