David Alan Mabry, age 47, of Benton IL, passed away at 7:22 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2017, in an automobile accident near Bonnie.
David was born on September 23, 1969 in Benton, the son of Billy C. Mabry and Patsy (Howdeshell) Mabry. He married the former Sandy Thatcher on November 23, 2003, and she survives.
David was baptized at a young age at the Church of God in Bradley, IL.
He enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, drawing, and he enjoyed being a tattoo artist.
David is survived by his wife Sandy Mabry of Benton; a son Trey Alan Mabry of Bradley, IL; two step-children Chris Shultz of Bradley, IL, Stephanie Shultz of Chicago; his mother Patsy Mabry of St. Anne, IL; three sisters: Lisa Gebo of Bradley, IL, Karin Garcia of Kankakee, IL, Cynthia Ryan and husband Patrick of Bradley, IL; three brothers:Steven Mabry and wife Marianne of Christopher, Billy Mabry and wife Tricia of Texas, Brian Lethoit of Hurst, IL; three aunts: Beverley Neal of Benton, Karen Foutch of Du Quoin, Donna Mabry of Benton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandmother Wilma Mabry; maternal grandmother Lucille Browning; brother-in-law Ron Gebo; uncle Buddy Mabry; uncle Paul Neal.
Private Family Services will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017.
Cremation services will be accorded.
Arrangements are through the Leffler Funeral Home of Benton.
